Retinal Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are conducted through affiliated academic and healthcare institutions to evaluate emerging therapies and to improve the understanding of retinal disease.
Participation in clinical trials is voluntary and requires separate informed consent.

Clinical Research

Clinical research is led by Dr. Varun Chaudhary and his research team.

Dr. Varun Chaudhary leads clinical research focused on neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, retinal vein occlusion, individualized treatment paradigms, imaging biomarker analysis.

He serves as Principal Investigator for studies including INSITE-DME and the R.E.A.D. study, focused on diabetic macular edema and age-related macular degeneration. He is also a member of multiple global scientific steering committees for Phase III and Phase IV clinical trials in macular diseases.

The research team participates in national and international studies evaluating treatment strategies and patient outcomes in age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema and retinal vein occlusion.

Clinical research activities are conducted in accordance with institutional and regulatory requirements and are separate from clinical care services.
